The Kerala government has no intention of expanding its network to other States in the country and has no need to, as it has “no need to expand network in other states”, Telecom Minister G.S. Dhume told reporters here.
Mr Dhume said, “Kerala’s existing network is in place.
We have no need of expanding network in any other State.”
However, he said that “if there is any demand for expansion in other States, then we will consider it.”
He said the State has set up an inter-state mobile broadband network.
The minister also said that the government was considering making the State a part of the National Broadband Network (NBN) project to provide more broadband connectivity to the State.
