Crunchycast will join Anime News Channel in a partnership announced on Thursday, joining Crunchy.com, the leading anime streaming service in North America.
Crunchycast, which has been available in Japan since February, will also provide anime-related content to Crunchy’s Anime News network.
The channel will offer the latest in anime news, anime and other programming.
The deal will be Crunchycasts first foray into North America, the company said.
The news comes amid an ongoing consolidation of media properties by Crunchy and other Japanese online media.
Crunchy has recently been moving toward being more of a streaming platform rather than a news or entertainment service.
In May, the online video company launched CrunchyStream, which will stream anime and manga in English.
Crunchstream was a subsidiary of the Japanese animation company Production I.
G, which was acquired by Disney in March for $675 million.
