NEW ZEUS is the first of several New Zealand brands to offer a food-focused, online grocery store.
The online shop, called NZFoods, launched its first shop at Auckland’s Royal Botanic Gardens on Monday.
The shop, which also sells local produce and other items, aims to boost the New Zealand brand’s reputation and boost sales, NZFoodSolutions managing director and former NZ Foods founder, Matthew Taggart, said.”NZFoods is our way of expanding our food offering and bringing our brand and services to people all over New Zealand,” Mr Taggar said.
He said NZFood was the first New Zealand company to offer such a product and said the new site was designed to provide an easy shopping experience.
“It’s very different to other online grocery stores that have a big selection of products, but the main thing we’ve done is to make it very easy to find what you want,” Mr Giannini said.
“We’re offering a wide selection of groceries, with over 100 products in our catalogue, with a wide range of local products.”
“We’re really looking forward to working with our customers and giving them a better shopping experience.”
The site also has an in-store grocery store, and is also in the process of setting up a food delivery service, which Mr Tiggles said would be more of a retail offering.
Mr Tiggart said NZ FoodSolutions had raised $1 million in seed funding and had raised another $1.2 million through an equity round led by Australian tech company GiroFund.
“We are really excited about this opportunity to help our business grow and become more global,” Mr Mgiraso said.
