The news that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be leaving Milan this July comes as a massive blow to the club and their fans.
The Portuguese forward is a hugely important part of the club’s plans and is likely to leave with an enormous amount of money, having been one of the top earners at the San Siro.
However, with the financial crisis affecting many clubs, Milan will also miss the likes of Leonardo Bonucci and Edinson Cavani.
In a statement, Milan president Silvio Berlusconi said: “We will be a bit disappointed by this news, but we will do everything in our power to save the club.”
We can confirm that Zlatic has agreed to leave Milan for a transfer fee of around 50 million euros, but there are no details about the terms of the contract.
“Zlatan has always been the most important player in Milan, and with his arrival the club is looking to sign another big star.”
It is a big blow for us, as Zlatans success has been such a big part of our history, so we know we can not afford to lose this important player.
“However, we will not be completely lost.
The future of the team is already uncertain and there are many options available.”
The club is very, very lucky to have such a great coach and a fantastic group of players.
